What is AI agent?
An AI agent is software that uses a language model to carry out a task by deciding which steps to take and which tools to call, rather than following a fixed script.
How it works.
An agent is typically given instructions, a model and a set of tools, such as searching records or sending a message. Because it chooses its own steps, both its usefulness and its risk depend on how tightly those are defined.
Why it matters.
Agents can take over work that is too variable for fixed rules. Without limits, they can also take actions nobody intended.
How Corlogic uses it.
Corlogic uses bounded agents. Each has defined instructions, an approved model, permitted tools and a required output, and a process step can narrow those tools further. Agents act as steps in a workflow alongside people and connected systems.

Human-in-the-loop
Human-in-the-loop describes a system in which people review, approve or correct what software, especially AI, proposes before it takes effect.
Model Context Protocol (MCP)
The Model Context Protocol is an open protocol that gives AI applications a standard way to connect to external tools and data sources.
