What is Human-in-the-loop?

Human-in-the-loop describes a system in which people review, approve or correct what software, and especially AI, proposes before it takes effect.

How it works.

The human step can sit at different points: approving an action before it runs, checking information an AI has extracted, or deciding how to handle an exception. What matters is that the point is designed in, with a named person responsible, rather than left to chance.

Why it matters.

It keeps accountability with people for decisions that carry risk, and gives the system a source of correction.

How Corlogic uses it.

In Corlogic, human review remains in place where it is required: a person makes the decision before the next step of a workflow proceeds. In Procura360, AI prepares information and people select suppliers, negotiate terms and approve extracted changes. In HARÇ, people remain responsible for the information, accepted amounts and decisions.

Start with a recurring process that is harder to coordinate than it should be.
