What is Progress payment (hakediş)?
A progress payment is a payment made to a contractor or subcontractor for the work completed in a period, before the whole job is finished. In Turkish construction practice it is called hakediş.
How it works.
The contractor reports the work completed, with measurements and supporting records. The client's site or technical team checks the claim, the accepted amount is approved, and payment follows on agreed terms.
Why it matters.
Progress payments are where site activity becomes a financial commitment. If the record of what was done is weak, the amount is disputed or paid late.
How Corlogic uses it.
In HARÇ, work is reported with measurements, photographs, voice notes and documents, and the site or technical team reviews the submission. Reviewed progress supports the subcontractor's payment application, the accepted amount follows the configured approval process and becomes a financial commitment, and the payment method and expected date are confirmed.
Start with a recurring process that is harder to coordinate than it should be.
